ISO 21502: 2020 Guidance on Project Management

ISO 21502 provides high-level description of concepts and processes that are considered to form good practice in project management.

 

Projects are placed in the context of programmes and project portfolios, however, ISO 21502 does not provide detailed guidance on the management of programmes and project portfolios.

Topics pertaining to general management are addressed only within the context of project management.

ISO 21502 Foundation training enables you to learn the best practices for the management of projects. During this training course, you will be able to understand the key concepts and processes of Project Management.

Day 1: Introduction to Project Management, as specified in ISO 21502

 

Day2: Project Management processes and Certification exam

Prerequisites

​

Proficiency in the English language, willingness to learn, and open mind to new ways of working.

​

Training Approach

​

The course covers both theory and practice:

  • Slide-based training sessions, supported by examples

  • Preparation for the exam

​

Examination

​

Upon completion of the training course, you can sit for the exam and become Certified in ISO 25000 Foundation.

​

Following are the exam details:

  • Duration              60 min.

  • Format                Open book

  • Nr of questions   30, multiple choice

  • Pass mark          70% (21 correct answers).

​

Competency domains

​

The Foundation exam covers the following domains:

  • Fundamental concepts and processes of Project Management

  • Project Management processes

 

Certification

​

The ISO 21502 Foundation certificate will be issued to delegates passing the exam.
