Overview 

 

The 5-day ISO 13053 Lead Auditor training enables you to develop the necessary expertise to audit Six Sigma processes by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques.

 

During this training course, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to plan and carry out internal and external audits in compliance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 certification process.

Based on practical exercises, you will be able to:

  • Master audit techniques

  • Become competent to manage a Six Sigma audit, audit team, and enhance customer satisfaction and process improvement.

After acquiring the necessary expertise to perform this audit, you can sit for the exam for  ISO 13053 Lead Auditor certification. By holding the  Lead Auditor Certificate, you will demonstrate that you have the capabilities and competencies to audit organizations based on best practices.

Day 2: Audit principles, preparation and launching of an audit

  • Fundamental audit concepts and principles

  • Audit approach based on evidence and risk

  • Stage 1 Audit

  • Preparing the stage 2 Audit (on-site audit)

  • Stage 2 Audit (Part 1)
     

Day 3: On-site audit activities

  • Stage 2 audit (Part 2)

  • Communication during the audit

  • Audit procedures

  • Creating audit test plans

  • Drafting audit findings and non-conformity reports

Day 4: Closing the audit

  • Documentation of audit findings and preparation of the Audit Report

  • Audit Report review

  • Closing the audit: closing meeting

  • Evaluation of the Action Plans by the Lead Auditor

  • Managing an internal audit programme

  • Competence and evaluation of auditors

  • Closing the training

 

Day 5: Certification exam

Training Approach

  • This training is based on both theory and best practices used in Six Sigma audits

  • Lecture sessions are illustrated with examples based on case studies

  • Practical exercises are based on a case study which includes role playing and discussions

  • Practice tests are similar to the Certification Exam

 

Prerequisites

The following are general prerequisites for attending our training courses:

  • Proficiency in the English language

  • Consideration for other course participants

  • Willingness to actively participate during the training sessions, and an open mind to learn new ways of working.

 

Fundamental understanding of ISO 13053 and comprehensive knowledge of audit principles is recommended before attending this course. 

Examination and Certification

Examination

 

  • Duration       90 min.

  • Format         closed book, 60 multiple-choice questions

  • Pass mark    70% (42 correct answers)

  • Domain 3: Fundamental audit concepts and principles

  • Domain 7: Managing an ISO 13053 audit programme.

 

Certification

 

The ISO 13053 Lead Auditor certificate will be issued to delegates passing the exam.
