By the end of this course, delegates will understand the principles of internal OH&SMS auditing and should be able to:

Explain the role and responsibilities of an Internal OH&SMS Auditor regarding planning, conducting, reporting and following up an internal OH&SMS audit, in accordance with the standard

Explain the process-based OH&SMS model of ISO 45001 regarding the PDCA cycle, and the contribution of the internal audit in maintaining and improving a OH&SMS

Plan, conduct, and report the findings of an internal OH&SMS audit based on the requirements of ISO 45001, and in accordance with the guidance of ISO 19011

Follow up on the recommended actions to rectify any non-conformances of part of the management system

Gather objective evidence to establish conformance of the OH&SMS with the standard through interviewing, observation, and sampling of documentation

Write factual audit reports that help to improve the effectiveness of the management system by the implementation of appropriate corrective action.
