Certified Kanban Foundation & Practitioner

Overview

The 3-day Certified Kanban Foundation and Practitioner training course covers the fundamentals of the Kanban philosophy

  • Working towards effective Just-In-Time delivery of products or services.

During the course, delegates will learn how to:

  • Apply the Kanban philosophy, methodology, and set of tools and techniques within an enterprise

  • Help  deviate from inefficient mass production and move towards only making what is required for a set specification, when it is required, to the quantity required.

The primary aim of the course is to help delegates understand how to choose, adapt, and apply a Kanban pull system in their business to:

  • Optimise workflow, and productivity

  • Minimise waste.

Following the Kanban methodology ensures that more tasks get completed and fewer tasks are "stuck" as work in progress (WIP), which often hinders workflow and continuous departmental performance.

Successful utilisation of Kanban depends on:

  • Eeffective real-time visual communications, using displays, controls, and KPIs

  • Optimal resource utilisation.

During the course, individuals will learn how to effectively communicate what, when, and how much to produce, to minimise WIP and the waste of over-inventory.
