The 5-day Lead Auditor training course aims to provide participants with the knowledge, and develop the skills and expertise necessary to:

Audit a Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001:2015

Ensure that the organization is competent in maintaining and continually improving its QMS

Perform third party audits by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques

Proficiently plan and perform internal and external audits in compliance with ISO 19011 and the certification process according to ISO 17021.

Manage audit teams and audit programmes, communicate with customers, resolve conflicts, etc.
Based on practical exercises, the participants will master the audit tools and techniques.

The role of LSS Green Belt (GB)
​
LSS GBs are part time practitioners.
They provide the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully complete small scale/ narrow scope DMAIC projects, including:

​The LSS Green Belt (GB) training is designed to provide delegates with deeper knowledge and understanding about Lean Thinking/ Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma DMAIC, with primary focus on preparing them to:

Lead small teams of LSS YBs
-
Manage small scale/ limited scope DMAIC projects
-
Contribute as team members to LSS Black Belt projects.
The training includes a refresher of key topics covered in the Yellow Belt training course. It is recommended that delegates, who have successfully completed the Yellow Belt training:

Practice the knowledge gained in the classroom by making small size incremental improvements in the processes they are responsible for, under the supervision of an experienced LSS GB

Participate, as team members, in LSS GB projects to gain practical experience in the application of LSS tools and techniques before attending the GB course.
​At the end of the training, LSS GB candidates should have learned and understood the following:

More advanced concepts in Lean, Six Sigma, and the combined Lean Six Sigma methodology

How to apply the new knowledge and skills in a project environment, that follows the LSS DMAIC project lifecycle

More advanced tools and techniques than Yellow Belts, including SPC ones, and basic use of statistical software packages, such as Minitab and Sigma Excel, for problem-solving and business process improvements

The role and responsibilities of the Green Belt, as part time LSS practitioner, and the expectations for their participation and contribution in successful completion of LSS BB projects

The practical application of the equation y = f(x) in LSS projects.

​Following the practice of the LSS DMAIC methodology at Green Belt practitioner level for several months, GBs can then choose to continue their LSS training, and professional development, by attending the Black Belt (BB) training.

Teach, in more detail, the LSS DMAIC stages, and the associated objectives, deliverables, and tools/ techniques

Introduce more advanced tools and techniques that can be applied in LSS projects

Apply basic soft skills in, e.g. team-building and change management.
Delegates are trained and tested on their understanding and ability to apply more advanced LSS tools and techniques, such as Statistical Process Control, in LSS DMAIC projects for business problem-solving.

The training combines lectures with interactive group exercises and hands-on work in the form of evening "homework" and scenario-based exercises.

Completion of the Yellow Belt training, and passing the YB certification exam.
Certification

Candidates passing the exam will be awarded the LSS GB certificate.

Candidates failing the exam can re-take it for a nominal administrative fee of £100.
