​

Six Sigma White Belt (WB) is the most basic level of certification that provides basic information about Lean Six Sigma.

LSS White Belt

The role of the LSS White Belt

 

White Belts assist with change management and also participate as team members of local problem-solving teams supporting Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects within an organization.

 

Professionals can also take up LSS Yellow Belt (YB), Green Belt (GB), and Black Belt (BB) training and certification and become more proficient in the domain of quality management and process, product, or service improvement.

As you step up the LSS certification ladder, and become qualified Practitioner, your resume and skills progressively become more  lucrative and your employment and career prospects improve.

  • The origins or Lean and Six Sigma

  • An overview of what is Lean Thinking, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma

  • Why it makes business sense to combine the two philosophies, methodologies and their tools and techniques

  • Six Sigma roles comprising the hierarchy of "belts" and other key stakeholders

  • Five Lean principles and eight (8) forms of waste (muda)

  • What is process, its key elements (SIPOC) and the process equation Y = f(X)

  • The meaning of process variation and the two types of variation

  • Six Sigma as measure of quality

  • The concept of Kaizen and the DMAIC methodology

  • Basic tools and techniques, such as the 7 basic quality tools.

After completing the course syllabus, delegates will become aware of the LSS fundamentals, and prepared for basic business problem-solving.
