Business Training and Consulting Services Ltd (BT&CS) offers virtual post-classroom training workshops to support certified Practitioners practice what they have learned in the classroom.

• This helps their transition from being "certified" towards becoming "qualified"

Our post-classroom workshops, are typically conducted in virtual classroom instructor-led environment, and are based on:

• Real-life business project selected by the corporate client, or

• Case Study provided by us, which simulates a real-world project.

We support two virtual workshop scenarios. The following paragraphs provide an overview about the activities of the two workshop groups of "actors":

• Business Training and Consulting Services Ltd, referred to, in the rest of this web page as "BT&CS", "we", or "our".

• The corporate client's team of delegates, participating in the workshop. referred to, in the rest of this web page as "the project team"

​Scenario #1

 

Real workplace business project, where:

​

• The corporate client/ business sponsoring the workshop:

  • Selects and commissions its own real-life business project

  • Selects and assigns project roles for project governance, and management to individuals, such as the Sponsor/ Process Owner, Project Manager, and project Team Members

• We conduct the first workshop session, where the delegates selected by the business are introduced to the simulated project particulars, such as:

  • Tools/ techniques, that will be used during the workshop

  • Workshop purpose, scope, objectives, and ground rules

• The project team members setup, run, and manage the project through the agreed phases/ stages and time frames.

• We, the Business Training and Consulting Services:

  • Work closely with the project governance and management team

  • Act as technical project support by guiding, coaching, advising, training (if/ when appropriate), reviewing project artefacts, and providing feedback, monitoring progress, and participating in stage gate reviews for the duration of the project.

In this case:

• We, the Business Training and Consulting Services, provide the Case Study to the corporate client/ business sponsoring the workshop

  • The above Case Study simulates a real-world project in the knowledge area/ management discipline of interest.

• ​The project governance, e.g. Project Sponsor, or Process Owner:

  • Receives and reviews the above Case Study

  • Selects and assigns project roles such as Project Manager, and Project Team Members

• We conduct the first workshop session, where the project team is introduced to the simulated project particulars, such as:

  • Workshop purpose, scope, objectives, and ground rules

  • Tools/ techniques that will be used during the workshop

• The above individuals setup, run, and manage the project through the agreed phases/ stages

• We:

  • Work closely with the project governance and management team

  • Act as technical project support by guiding, coaching, advising, training (if/ when appropriate), reviewing project artefacts, and providing feedback, monitoring progress, and participating in stage gate reviews for the duration of the project.
