ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems - Requirements
Overview
Internal auditing is one of the fundamental activities for maintaining a Management System and assessing compliance with specified requirements. However, with continual improvement being one of the key quality management principles of ISO 9001 ("the Standard), internal auditing goes beyond compliance and becomes a key driver of business performance improvement.
Also the role of the Internal Quality Management System (QMS) Auditor is evolving.
-
It is no longer enough that internal auditors check procedural conformance.
-
Auditors of QMS now need to be able to audit in-scope processes with emphasis on risk.
This 2-day highly interactive training course covers Foundation-level and Internal Auditor training. It s designed to train
delegates to play an active role in:
-
Ensuring that the documented QMS complies with the requirements of the standard, regarding mandatory documents
-
Managing the effectiveness of the documented QMS
-
Ensuring the adequacy and operational efficiency of the implemented QMS
-
Identifying opportunities for process and business improvement as part of the QMS auditing process
-
The development and improvement of working practices across the organisation.
The course:
-
Introduces delegates to the seven (7) quality management principles underpinning the ISO MSS.
-
Provides an overview of the ISO 9000 family (series), and the latest version of ISO/IEC 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 9004, and ISO 19011 (QMS auditing)
-
Focuses delegates on the most important attributes of a modern and effective QMS
-
Helps understanding the role of the internal auditor in its development and continual improvement
-
Covers basic auditing tools and techniques, as well as key documents and records.

about the standard.
The 1-day Foundation course takes place before each scheduled Internal Auditor course, and we can offer a
discount if booking both courses together.
The outcome of the Foundation-level training is supplemented by 2-day training in basic auditing tools and
techniques, as well as key documents and records to complete the Internal Auditor syllabus.
