Six Sigma Training Courses

Introduction

​

Six Sigma, abbreviated as 6σ, is business business problem-solving and performance improvement discipline.

 

It comprises philosophy, methodology, and set of tools and techniques, most of which are statistical in nature.

 

It is adopted by organisations in various industry sectors, and implemented to achieve a range of business objectives through:

  • Continuous improvement of existing business processes, products, or services.

  • Design of new re-design/ engineering of existing business processes, products, or services

  • Business process management

 

Successful Six Sigma implementation is based on:

  • Project selection based on criteria set by the business

  • Alignment of project objectives with business goals and objectives

  • Selection and training Six Sigma practitioners, known as the "belts", at specific levels of knowledge and competency

  • Creation of a network and infrastructure to support to new certified practitioners when they apply knowledge into practice by assigning them to roles in Six Sigma projects. The objective is to provide provide technical support, coaching and mentoring them until they become qualified practitioners and beyond.

  • Improvement of the quality of products, services, and processes, as well as the overall business performance. This supports sustained business growth and profitability through benefits (ROI) delivered by Six Sigma projects and realised over specified periods.

Our Six Sigma Training Courses

​

Our training courses cover the three Six Sigma methodologies i.e. DMAIC, DFSS, and BPM, and associated tools and techniques:

 

The training covers the Six Sigma roles, including the Project Champion and the "belts":

​

Completing the training at each "belt" level, and passing the exam, is prerequisite for progressing to the next level.

​

Training is delivered by certified and qualified LSS Practitioners.

​

When preparing the syllabus of each course, we took into consideration the body of knowledge (BoK) and/ or framework of the following organisations/ best practices:

  • International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC)

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ)

  • ISO 13053 standard, Part 1: Quantitative methods in process improvement - Six Sigma DMAIC

  • ISO 13053 standard, Part 2: Quantitative methods in process improvement - Six Sigma Tools & Techniques

  • ISO 18404 standard: Quantitative methods in process improvement - Six Sigma - Competencies for key personnel and their organizations in relation to Six Sigma and Lean implementation.
